Fried Bitter gourd

Ingredients:
1-2 fairly large bitter gourds
Turmeric powder
Chili powder
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Method:
  1. Cut ends off bitter gourds, scoop out the seeds and wash.
  2. Slice bitter gourds in thin rounds and squeeze out excess water.
  3. Marinate bitter gourds with turmeric powder, chili powder and salt.
  4. Heat oil in a wok and deep-fry the bitter gourd rings a little at a time until brown and crisp.
  5. Drain on absorbent kitchen paper. Serve hot.
