Tandoori Roti (Baked unleavened bread)

Ingredients:
2 ½ cups Whole-wheat flour (atta)
1 tsp Salt
1 tbsp Vegetable oil
½ cup Water
Butter for greasing the baking tray
 

Method:
  1. Sift the flour and salt together. Mix in the oil and water; knead to make soft dough. Cover with a moist cloth and keep aside for 30 minutes.
  2. Divide the dough equally into 5 balls and dust with flour.
  3. Heat the oven to 180°C/350°F; flatten the ball and roll each out to an 8” disc. Place the discs on a greased tray and bake for 3 minutes till pale brown in color.
  4. Serve hot.
