Chicken Curry North Indian Style

Ingredients:
1 lb Chicken-drumsticks, thighs, breast
1 cup Plain yogurt
4 tbsp Vegetable oil
1/2 tsp Mustard powder
2 medium Onions (finely chopped)
2 pods Cardamom
2 Cloves
1 tsp Chili Powder
1 tsp Garam Masala
1/2 tsp Cumin powder
1/2" piece Ginger
4 cloves Garlic
1/2 tsp Coriander Seeds
1/2 tsp Freshly ground pepper
Salt to taste
 

Method:
  1. Mix pieces of Chicken-drumsticks, thighs with breast with salt, pepper and chili power on it. Add yogurt thoroughly to the chicken meats until completely covered. Keep into the refrigerator for 4 hours.
  2. Heat up a large pan with hot oil. Add mustard seeds, cloves, cardamom and coriander seeds, and fry for 30 seconds, and then add onion and fry for another 2 minutes until onion beings to turn brown. Lower heat to medium, then add ginger and garlic paste, fry for few minutes, later add mustard powder, garam masala and cumin powder.
  3. Get chicken meats from refrigerator after 4 hours and toss into the large frying pan together with the ingredients. Cook with high heat and sauté until the chicken meats are cooked. Reduce to low heat and cover.
  4. Serve hot
