Fried Green Bananas

Ingredients:
4 green (curry bananas) bananas
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder
Chili powder
Oil for frying
Method:
  1. Before peeling and slicing these bananas, rub some cooking oil on the palms of your hands.
  2. Slice the bananas lengthwise.
  3. Rub with salt, turmeric powder and chili powder. Leave for about half an hour.
  4. Heat oil for deep frying in a wok and fry the bananas a few at a time until dark brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent kitchen paper before serving hot.
  5. If you are not serving them immediately, cool the bananas before storing in an airtight container.
