Chili Masala

Ingredients
1 cup Green chilly (chopped fine)
2 Red chilly
1 tbsp Rice
1/2 tbsp Turmeric powder
1 sprig Curry leaves 1 tbsp Tamarind paste
1 cup Coconut
1-2 cups Water
1 tbsp Fenugreek seeds
2 tbsp Mustard seeds
1 tbsp Cooking oil
Salt As per taste
 

Method:
  1. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and when they crackle add red chili and curry leaves and fry for a while. Add the green chili and fry till browned. Now add tamarind paste turmeric powder and salt and bring to boil. Now reduce the heat and cook on low flame.
     
  2. Meanwhile, heat a pan and roast fenugreek seeds and rice till browned and grind to get a fine powder. Add this to curry. Continue cooking on low flame till gravy is thickened. Remove from flame.
     
  3. Serve this as a pickle. It can be kept refrigerated for a month.
