CHICKEN CURRY

Ingredients
½ kg chicken
2 tablespoon dhania powder
2 tablespoon chilies powder
½ tablespoon turmeric powder
2 tablespoon jeera
1 tablespoon khus-khus
6 pepper
8 cloves
1 cm cinnamon
6 flakes garlic
½ coconut - grated
4 medium size onions
6 green chilies
1 bunch coriander leaves
Salt to taste
2 tablespoon oil
 

Method:
  1. Clean the chicken and cut into medium size pieces.
    Fry dhania powder in a tava or a pan on low fire, until
    brown, without adding oil or ghee. Roast jeera, khus-khus,
    pepper, cloves cinnamon in the same way.

  2. Then grind together fried dhania powder, jeera, khus-khus,
    pepper, cloves, cinnamon, garlic, 2 sliced onions
    and grated coconut. Make it a fine paste.

  3. Heat oil in a pan. Add 2 sliced onions and sliced
    green chilies. Fry till the onions turn light brown in
    color. Then add chilies powder and fry for 1/2 a
    minute on low fire. Then add chicken pieces, turmeric
    powder, salt and a cup of water. Cook till the chicken is
    done.

  4. Now add the ground masala and enough water. Let it
    boil for 5 minutes. Add finely chopped coriander leaves
    and stir. Remove from fire after a minute.

  5. Serve hot with rice, chapattis or pooris.
