Ingredients
1 tsp mustard seeds
10 red chilies
4 tsp urud dal
1/4 tsp tamarind - gooseberry sized salt
1/4 tsp asafetida
1 dosakkai (big)
Method:
In 2 tsp oil, add mustard seeds and allow
bursting. Add urud dal, red chilies and fry lightly. The urud dal should
not turn too red. To this add tamarind, salt, asafetida and grind.
Peel dosakkai, remove the seeds. Chop this into
small pieces. Add the chopped pieces to the above paste and blend
lightly
