Green Gram Salad

 
Green Gram Salad

Ingredients
2 cups of green gram dhal soaked in water for 3 hrs and then drained.
1/4 cup coriander leaves chopped
2 tbsp lime juice cup coconut grated
1 cup deseeded and chopped cucumber
1/2 cup grated carrots
5 green chilies, minced finely
Salt to taste
For seasoning:
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 sprig curry leaves
A pinch of hing (asafetida)
 
Method:
  1. Mix all the above ingredients, except the seasoning ones in a big bowl.
  2. Season with mustard seeds, hing and crushed curry leaves.
