Tareli Macchi
( Fried fish – Parsi style )


Ingredients

6 large or 12 small fish fillets or cut into ½”– thick slices.


For the marinade:
1 tsp Turmeric (haildi) powder
1 tsp Red Chilli powder
1 tsp Cumin (jeera) powder (optional)
1 Lemon (nimbu) juice
Salt to taste
1 cup sesame (til) oil

 


Method:
  1. Marinade the fish fillets with the ingredients list prepared above. Marinate for about 30 minutes.
  2. Heat up the pan with oil. Fry the marinated fish fillets with low heat till crispy.
  3. Remove from pan and drain out the excess oil.
  4. Serve hot with lemon slices.
     

Serves : 6-8
