Fish Balls

Ingredients
1 lb Fish
4 oz. Cooked shrimp (peeled)
1 Large onion (finely chopped)
1 can (14 oz) Chopped tomatoes
2 Eggs (beaten)
2-3 cups Coconut milk
1 1/2 cups Bread crumbs
2 Green chilies (finely chopped)
4 cloves Crushed garlic
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
2 tbsp Lemon juice
Salt & pepper to taste
Oil for deep-frying
Chopped cilantro (coriander) leaves
 
Method:
  1. Mix mince fish, mince shrimp, one beaten egg, one cup bread crumbs, cilantro, lemon juice, pepper and salt. Make small balls out of this mixture.
  2. Dip the small balls into the remaining beaten eggs and coat with remaining bread crumbs. Then deep fry it, with hot oil till golden brown.
  3. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with sauce.

To make the sauce:

  • Heat up pan with little oil, fry onions, green chilies, garlic and turmeric powder for few minutes. Then pour coconut milk and chopped tomatoes, stir well. Cook till the sauce is thick
