Tandoori Pomfret

Ingredients
4 (1 lb each) Pomfrets (Fish)
2 Egg yolks
2 tbsp Yoghurt (dahi), drained
3 tbsp Cream
1 tbsp Garlic (lasan) paste
1 tbsp Ginger (adrak) paste
1 tsp White pepper (safed mirch) powder
2 tsp Carom (ajwain) seeds
1 tsp Turmeric (haldi) powder
2 tsp Red chili powder
2 tsp Cumin (jeera) powder
2 tbsp Lemon (nimbu) juice
2 tbsp Gram flour (besan)
Butter / Vegetable oil for basting
 
Method:
  1. Rinse and clean the Pomfrets and make few incisions on both sides.
  2. Whisk the yoghurt and egg yolks to make a smooth paste. Coat the Pomfrets evenly with this smooth paste and marinate it for few hours.
  3. Skewer the marinated Promfrets into a preheat oven for 180°C / 350°F, roast for about 10 minutes. Remove the skewers from heat and drain the excess liquid. Baste with butter and roast again for 3 to 5 minutes.
  4. Serve hot.
