Beetroot Rasam

Ingredients
1 Beetroot
1 Green Chili
1 tbsp Shredded Coconut
½ tsp Rasam Powder
A small sized ball Tamarind
1 Whole Red Chili
Mustard seeds
¼ tsp Fennel
Salt to taste
Oil- For seasoning
 

Method:
  1. Soak tamarind to extract juice. Slice beetroot & cook it. Grind cooked beets with rasam powder & coconut with water. Boil the tamarind extract with salt, turmeric & green chili.

  2. Add the ground mixture & boil for a while. For Seasoning, heat 1 tsp of oil & add fennel seeds mustard seeds & red chili.

  3. When it splutters, pour it over the rasam.
